I’m a woman with a male child and I’d like accommodation in a shared cabin.
Children can share cabins with persons of the opposite sex up to the age of 5. Over the age of 5, you must book a cabin for your sole use.
I’m dependent on oxygen: can I travel with an oxygen bottle?
Passengers requiring oxygen can take only one portable bottle with them. Spare bottles cannot be left in the car: at boarding, they must be handed to the Captain who will return them upon arrival at destination. Before leaving, a list of the oxygen bottles/equipment and related description sheets must be presented.
I have health problems: can I be accompanied on board by an ambulance?
If you have walking problems but do not require assistance on board, you must promptly inform the ticket office at the port of departure so that it can contact the control points to authorise transit of the ambulance. If you have particular problems that require the ambulance to be boarded on the ferry, you must submit a copy of your medical record which will be evaluated by the competent department; if travel authorisation is issued, the ambulance will be booked as a goods vehicle.
Can I travel with a car that does not belong to me on a non-Schengen route?
You must have written authorisation of the owner in French, with signature authenticated by a notary public.
I’m a driver: can I travel with my wife and child?
SIf there are plenty of drivers’ cabins available, at the discretion of GNV a cabin may be allocated for your sole use, but in order to be certain, you must purchase passenger accommodation.
