Check-in

Check-in times.

  • Passengers with vehicle, at least 2 hours before departure (3 for the Genoa/Tangiers/Genoa line and for on-board camping).
  • Foot passengers (without vehicle), at least one hour before departure.
  • For security reasons, access to the boarding quays is permitted only to passengers in possession of a ticket or boarding pass.

Check-in

  • All passengers, whether travelling with or without a car, must CHECK IN. Upon doing so, passengers are issued with a boarding pass and are automatically assigned a seat/cabin number. Passengers will not be allowed to board without a boarding pass and must keep their boarding pass until they disembark.
  • In accordance with the ISPS (International Ship and Port Security) anti-terrorism code, passengers are required to show their ticket, boarding pass and identity document if asked to do so by a ship’s officer. They must also consent to the possible inspection of their luggage. The above checks can also be made by port personnel on security duty.
  • At check-in the Company may check the dimensions of vehicles booked to travel. In the event of discrepancies with the dimensions declared at the time of booking, passengers will be required to pay the difference.
  • At Genoa, foot-passengers must check in at the GNV Ticket Office on the second floor of the Ferry Terminal; passengers travelling with a vehicle can check in without alighting from the vehicle, by following the signs marked "Imbarco Check-in".
