Regulations for “GNV awards loyalty - 4” event ”
a. Promoter company: Grandi Navi Veloci spa (indicated below as GNV) with registered office in Palermo and operating headquarters in Genoa, via Fieschi 17.
b. Office running the event : GNV will run the event from its operating headquarters in Genoa, via Fieschi 17.
c. Type of event : event with prizes
d. Duration of event: starts on 1st May 2011 and ends on 30th April 2014
e. Name of event : GNV awards loyalty - 4
f. Purpose of the event: to promote the GNV ferry services by rewarding customer loyalty.
g. Territorial area: the event is held on all the GNV ships and throughout the territory of Italy.
h. Beneficiaries of the prizes offered : the beneficiaries of the prizes are the GNV passengers who have taken part in the loyalty programme and are therefore in possession of one of the loyalty cards issued by GNV.>
i. Awarding of the prizes: the prizes offered can be collected by the persons entitled when they have accumulated the required number of points for the desired prize and can be requested at any time within the maximum term of six months from the date of expiry of the event.
l. Structure of the event: the programme rewards the GNV loyalty car holders by awarding prizes consisting in free GNV tickets. The prizes are obtained through the purchase of GNV ferry tickets (excluding minigroup tickets from 10 to 19 persons, group tickets over 19 persons and cruise tickets) on reaching the number of points, indicated below, for each prize offered
l.1 Procedures for registration and participation: to register, request one of the loyalty cards issued by GNV. The cards are free of charge and can be requested by any passenger.
Once the registration has been correctly completed, the passenger is issued with a personal card with a code that identifies him/her in the “GNV rewards loyalty - 4” programme and allows him/her, whenever he/she makes a purchase, to transform the purchase value into credit points which accumulate and eventually reach the required number for one of the prizes offered.
l.2 Organisation of the event: to obtain recognition of the credit, the GNV loyalty card holder must request the GNV ticket to be credited to his/her loyalty card code at the time of purchase.
The accumulated value is recognised on the basis of the value paid and only if the service purchased has been used.
The value of the ticket is converted into points according to the following ratio:1 point for every 10 Euros spent on tickets. The points are accumulated on the code of the personal card for the entire period of the initiative and allow collection of the prizes only if a points credit has been reached equal to the value of the prize offered.
In order to be recognised valid, the tickets must be in the name of the card holder and can comprise, for the purposes of points recognition, up to a maximum of a further eight names and two means of transport.
The points credits are attributed to the individual GNV loyalty card and can, upon the request of the holder, be accumulated with the credits of other GNV cards in the name of the same person; they may not be traded or converted into money.
To implement the initiative, GNV activates an information system which counts the ticket purchases made with the loyalty cards and updates the points when a prize is collected. In order to obtain the benefits of the programme, the original tickets purchased and used must be kept and presented on request.
l.3 Collection of prizes: when enough points have been accumulated for a prize, the card holder can request the prize. Following the request, GNV will check the tickets that have generated the credit. The prizes must be requested at least 5 working days prior to the date of departure from the GNV Loyalty Cards Service by e-mail ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or telephone (+ 39 010 2094591) or via the website using the section fides.gnv.it. The free ticket is issued by GNV, after checking availability of places, informing the applicant of the ticket number issued. The ticket will be sent by e-mail or fax. The free ticket can be modified only once by directly contacting the GNV Loyalty Cards Service. For all matters concerning the ticket and transport, see the current regulations in the GV “General Terms of Transport”. Any fees for issue of the free ticket are at the expense of the passenger.
l.4 Information for participants: all loyalty card holders can access via the Internet a private web session (fides.gnv.it) in which they can consult: the event regulations and the points generated by the ticket purchases; modify their data; request the prizes on offer; cancel their participation. It is the responsibility of the individual card holders to communicate, within a maximum of 30 days from the date of ticket purchase, any errors in accrediting of the points also due to incorrect input of the personal code.
m. Prizes:The GNV Loyalty Card holders are entitled to free GNV tickets under the following conditions. The tickets consist in crossings on the routes indicated below and served by GNV ships (prize tickets are not issued on routes operated in code-sharing with ships of other companies) with the exclusion of meals and restaurant services.

Note! Free tickets are not issued in the following periods:
From 23/07 to 15/08 for all crossings from Genoa and Civitavecchia (to any destination)
From 13/08 to 05/09 for all crossings to Genoa and Civitavecchia (from any destination)
m.1 Modification of prizes catalogue: if GNV cancels a connection, the prize tickets offered for the route are cancelled.
n. Delivery of prizes offered: all the prizes offered will be assigned to the entitled card holders who forward their request for collection within the scheduled terms.
o. Amendments to participation rules: GGNV reserves the right to amend, even partially at any time, the procedures for operation of and participation in the event, publishing said amendments in the www.gnv.it website and in the private web session reserved for every GNV loyalty card holder.
